Cefaclor is the second generation cephalosporin antibiotics, and its antibacterial effect is similar to that of Cefalexin. It has good antibacterial activity against gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, hemolytic streptococcus viridis and Streptococcus pneumoniae. It is white powder. Soluble in water, insoluble in methanol, chloroform, benzene. The solution is stable at pH 2.5-4.5.
